At Prince William Eye Associates, we accept all of the major medical insurance types and are in network with Vision Service Plan (VSP). Your medical insurance including medicare usually does not cover routine refractions done to determine your prescription of glasses. In these cases an additional refraction fee of $65.00 is applied to your charges and is due if a refraction is requested . We see patients without insurance with the cost of the exam starting at $150.00 The cost of contact lens fittings is a separate and varying charge depending on the type of contact lens fitting requested and whether the patient has worn contacts before or not.
